1, What types of wheels are there?

1. Painted wheels are moderately priced and durable.

The process basically adopts baking paint treatment, which means spraying first and then electric baking. The cost is relatively economical, and the color is beautiful and long-lasting. Even if the vehicle is scrapped, the color of the wheels remains unchanged.
Many Volkswagen car models use baking paint for their wheel hub surface treatment, and some fashionable and dynamic colored wheels also use baking paint technology. This type of wheel hub has a moderate price and complete specifications.
2. The price difference of electroplated wheels is large.
Electroplated wheels are divided into types such as silver electroplating, water electroplating, and pure electroplating. Although electroplated silver and water plated wheels have bright and vivid colors, their retention time is relatively short, so their prices are relatively cheap, which is favored by many young people who pursue freshness.
Pure electroplated wheels, with a long-lasting color retention, can be said to be of high quality and high price. Some mid to high end sedans come with pure electroplated wheels as standard from the factory.
Wheel hubs can be divided into two categories based on material: steel wheels and alloy wheels.
3. The main advantage of steel wheels is their simple manufacturing process, relatively low cost, and strong resistance to metal fatigue, which is commonly known as being cheap and sturdy. However, the disadvantages of steel wheels are relatively prominent, such as unattractive appearance, large weight, high inertia resistance, poor heat dissipation, and easy rusting.
4. Alloy material wheels have a lighter weight, lower inertia resistance, higher manufacturing accuracy, and less deformation during high-speed rotation. They have lower inertia resistance, which is beneficial for improving the straight-line driving performance of cars, reducing tire rolling resistance, and thus reducing fuel consumption.
The thermal conductivity of alloy materials is about three times that of steel, with good heat dissipation, which can play a certain role in the thermal attenuation of the vehicle's braking system, tires, and braking system.
At present, the alloy wheels of original factory cars on the market are mainly made of aluminum alloy. Of course, many modified wheels choose elements such as chromium and titanium as basic materials to meet certain special requirements and visual enhancement.
However, compared to steel wheels, alloy wheels are much more expensive, so often in many low-end original factory cars, steel wheels appear on low-end models, while alloy wheels are standard on high-end models.
