Automobile wheels are an important part of automobiles, and their design and construction are crucial to the driving performance and safety of the vehicle. The wheel is mainly composed of the following parts:
Rim: responsible for mounting and supporting the tire, it is the outer edge of the wheel, used to fix the tire and bear the weight of the vehicle. The rim is usually made of strong and durable steel or aluminum alloy to ensure its stability under various driving conditions.
Spoke: located between the axle and the rim, playing a supporting role. Spokes are slender components connecting the rim and the hub, mostly made of steel or aluminum alloy. The main task of the spoke is to support the rim and transmit the weight and power of the vehicle.
Hub: also known as wheel rim, steel rim, wheel or tire bell, it is a round metal part located inside the tire, with the center mounted on the axle to support the tire. The hub is mostly made of cast iron or steel, and is tightly connected to the rim and axle by bolts or pins to provide a stable center support for the wheel.
These components of the wheel work together to ensure the stability, reliability and safety of the wheel. The design of the spoke plays a decisive role in the structure of the wheel. According to the structure of the spoke, the wheel can be divided into a spoke plate type and a spoke type. At present, most mainstream family cars use a spoke plate spoke structure. In addition, the type of wheel can be divided into steel wheels and light alloy wheels according to the different materials. Light alloy wheels are further divided into aluminum alloy wheels and magnesium alloy wheels.
